Foregate Street to Droitwich Spa
Route summary
Apart from a more scenic diversion around Fernhill Heath most of route follows the Worcester and Birmingham and Droitwich canal sections of the Monarch’s Way.

Droitwich Spa to Hartlebury
Route summary
After initially heading west through Westwood Park the rest of the route heads northwards through Doverdale and a series of fishing ponds before reaching Hartlebury station with its pub and brewery.
Hartlebury to Kidderminster
Route summary
From the station we pass through part of Hartlebury village. A disused railway with an impressive sandstone cutting and raised section over the River Stour is used to join the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal. This is followed all the way into Kidderminster.
Kidderminster to Blakedown
Route summary
Leaving the station we pass the Severn Valley Railway and Kidderminster Harriers football ground. After crossing a golf course we’re soon into rolling, wooded countryside with a sprinkling of man-made ponds.
Blakedown to Hagley
Route summary
After a short section following the A456 a hedge lined bridleway if followed to Stakenbridge. Here we join the Monarch’s Way which we follow for most of the way to Hagley station.

The Cotswold and Malvern Line
The Cotswold and Malvern Line gives access to the famous Malvern Hills via Great Malvern and Malvern Link, the historic city of Worcester, and the picturesque market towns of Pershore and Evesham.
The Wyre Valley Line
The Wyre Valley Line runs through rolling countryside into the heart of Worcestershire connecting the villages of Hagley and Blakedown, Kidderminster, Hartlebury and the famous Droitwich Spa with the city of Worcester.
The Saltway Line
The Saltway Line connects Worcester with the historic town of Droitwich Spa, the market town of Bromsgrove and the charming village of Barnt Green offering access to the famous Lickey Hills.
The Arrow Valley Line
The Arrow Valley Line provides access to the Lickey Hills at Barnt Green, canal walks at Alvechurch, and to the town of Redditch with it’s the needle manufacturing history.
