Unfortunately, due to flood damage, the Old Powick Bridge will be closed for several months in 2024.
This affects our Great Malvern to Worcester Foregate Street Rail Trail. Work is due to start on repairs from 12th February and a diversion has been put in place.

Route summary
From Great Malvern we head to Malvern Link station. Here we follow the Three Choirs Way for much of the way to Powick Bridge and then the Monarch’s Way into the City.

Route summary
From Foregate St we head to the canal and Shrub Hill station. We then climb through Perry Wood to Worcester Woods Country Park and under the M5 to skirt Spetchley Park.

Route summary
From Parkway we pass through open countryside passing a modern Monastery and folly before reaching the pretty village of Peopleton. Then on to Pinvin and Pershore station.

Pershore to Evesham

Route summary
We head over to the River Avon. The walk then follows Shakespeare’s Avon Way through picturesque Fladbury and Charlton and on a hand drawn ferry (£1) into Evesham.

Evesham to Honeybourne

Route summary
After leaving Evesham the walk passes through the pretty villages of Badsey and Bretforton (with its famous NT owned pub) and on through a large Strawberry Farm to Honeybourne.

Route summary
After leaving Colwall Station, you will walk the Malvern Hills below the Worcestershire Beacon, along to North Hill. There you will have a choice of going to Great Malvern Station past St Ann’s Well, or heading to Malvern Link Station past the Clock Tower.

Route summary (short walk)
After leaving Ledbury Station, you will walk to Colwall Station.
The short walk will go past Frith Wood, Hope’s End, see views of the Malvern Hills, and pass through orchards. Near the end, there is the Church of St James the Great, which is about a mile away before getting to Colwall Station.

Route summary (long walk)
After leaving Ledbury Station, you will walk to Colwall Station.
A highlight of this longer route is walking through Ledbury. The walk will go past Dead Woman’s Thorn, see views of the Malvern Hills, the Woodshed Cafe and Eastnor Castle and Deer Park, through the woods along Three Choirs Way and below the Herefordshire Beacon, on the way to Colwall Station.
