Since the Autumn, West Midlands Railway has been running the most amount of trains across the network since the pandemic started, and it is planned to continue with this timetable until further notice. However, some changes will be in place from Monday 14th December:

GWR are running train services across their routes on most days over the festive period this year: find out more about how your journey will be affected over the Christmas 2020 break.
Travel by train is still allowed in England and Wales in line with the latest government advice, and GWR are part of the safer travel pledge.

Join in the Christmas celebrations at Worcester Cathedral by visiting the avenue of glittering Christmas Trees, beautifully decorated by local organisations and displayed in the atmospheric medieval Cloister.
Each tree is innovatively and individually designed and decorated by local schools, charities, businesses and organisations.
Entry to see the Christmas Trees is free, however booking in advance with a timed ticket is essential. Donations are appreciated to help support the work of the Cathedral. Full information at

Come and join in the seasonal spirit at Hartlebury Castle which will be dressed especially for Christmas. Listen to hand bell ringers playing in the Great Hall at 12 and 2.30pm.
Families can pre-book a visit to see Father Christmas in the Castle’s old kitchen. Mother Christmas will also be making appearances over the weekend. Follow the Christmas Elf Trail, buy a fresh wreath made by the Castle’s gardeners, get yourself a yummy pizza made by Urban Village Pizza in the courtyard and warm up with a drink of hot chocolate and mince pies in the Saloon.
